Let’s talk about your wedding food!

It’s officially wedding season! Whether you’re looking to host something intimate in the next few months, or are planning for a huge party in the next year or two, one thing will remain the same – you need a wedding menu, and it needs to be delicious. While we love décor details and florals are so important, the things that guests remember most at your wedding are the music and the food. So let’s talk about your wedding food!

Picking out a menu can be difficult, especially when you’re taking into considerations everyone’s tastes, preferences, and food intolerances. The wedding food can also set the tone for the wedding. Does it make you feel warm and welcome, or extravagant and luxurious? How many courses is too many? Will there be enough food with the menu you chose? These are all valid concerns and questions, so let us walk you through our wedding food at St. Joseph’s Banquet & Conference Centre to give you an idea of the possibilities!

Cocktail Hour

It’s essential that you feed your guests upon arrival, but how heavily you feed them is entirely up to you. If you’re looking for a show-stopping display, then the Antipasto Feast Station is our favourite. Guests can serve themselves from an elaborate display of all the antipasto you could eat before dinner. If instead you’re looking for something that’s a little less food-focused, the Chef’s Choice Passed Hors d’Oeuvres are perfect! Enjoy an amazing selection of appetizers served to you by our trained wait staff – no line ups here!

Dinner

Once your guests sit down for dinner, it’s really time to feed them. Our packages include from four to five courses – whether you want something a little lighter like a salad, pasta, one entrée and dessert, or you want to be decadent with soup, salad, pasta, two entrées and dessert.  The food options are delicious, with options ranging from Italian Wedding Soup to AAA Fillet Mignon to Caramel Dacquoise. Late Night Buffet

Once your guests start dancing and drinking, it’s always a good idea to have some more food available. Plus, it’s time to serve the wedding cake! We have a few options for your late night buffet, depending how food-focused you’d prefer to be! On the lighter side, you can order an assortment of fresh fruits, sweets and your own wedding cake. On the other end of that spectrum, you can go all out with a late night buffet that’s filled with seafood, sliders, wings, pizzas, cheeses and more! No option is wrong, every option is delicious, it’s just up to you to decide what’s right for you.

If you focus on what you as a couple would prefer to eat, your decisions become easier. Personal dietary restrictions are always taken into consideration, but the overall menu should be a reflection of what you two prefer. So if you’re crazy about stuffed chicken and tortellini in a creamy sundried tomato sauce, then pick that! Individual allergies will be accommodated.
