Before you start arguing “but the weather is gorgeous!” and “what about my photos?” hear us out. Here’s what you need to know about indoor wedding receptions:
Indoor wedding receptions are less stressful
It may seem like a novel idea that a wedding can be stress-free, and while we never like to promise this, we really do believe that indoor wedding receptions can take a little stress off of you. Summer weather can be stunning, but it can also be too hot, uncomfortable, and very unpredictable. Expect thunderstorms, lots of bugs, heals sinking into the ground, unbearable temperatures, and more work for vendors and catering staff. If you choose to hold your wedding reception indoors instead, you’re protected from the summer weather and the bugs, and your guests can enjoy state-of-the-art facilities. Not to mention, you wouldn’t need to rent portable bathrooms for your guests as indoor wedding receptions are hosted in facilities that have working bathrooms! There’s less to worry about - and more time for you to enjoy your big day.

Even when using the same venue as other brides, an indoor wedding reception can still have its own look and feel through the right decor, and other than dangerous elements like fire, indoor wedding receptions are very customizable and versatile. Any space can be transformed into your dream wedding reception with a little bit of creativity, and the best part is that you won’t need to worry about the weather or surroundings to make your perfect reception come to life. It’s considerably more difficult to transform the standard wedding tent from outdoor wedding receptions into a magical evening, so if you’re on the fence between an indoor and outdoor wedding, we highly recommend going indoors.
