3 wedding trends we’re seeing in 2023

A new year brings with it new weddings trends, and since we’ve been in the industry for a while, we’ve seen many trends come and go. Some trends are timeless, some come back periodically, and some are here for only a short period of time. We love seeing our couples explore wedding trends and put their own unique spin on them, and we can’t wait to experience this year’s weddings!

Here are the weddings trends we’re expecting to see for 2023.

Large & luxurious

Many couples are leaning harder into more extravagant, elegant, and larger events to combat the years of small and intimate celebrations the world had to pivot to. Weddings are once again becoming more luxurious, with more elaborate menus, a huge focus on decor and design, and the guest experience being front and centre. Couples are creating unforgettable events with luxurious touches, are throwing larger parties, and are enjoying bigger blowouts than in the last few years. We love this trend largely because we’re experts at throwing luxurious parties with an abundance of delicious food, premium bar service, and a space that keeps the dancing going all night!

More colour

While minimalistic and neutral design is still top of mind for many couples, we’ve been noticing a pivot back to deep and rich colour. Couples are less afraid of bringing in pops of colour and are becoming more playful with their colour and design choices. We’ve seen more diversity in linen colour selection, colourful decor pieces being brought in, and even more colour with bridal party wear. More colour is on trend, and it’s a fun way to celebrate your big day!

Less greenery and more floral

We’ll be seeing more floral in 2023. While opting for more flowers instead of greens can drive your budget up fairly quickly, weddings in 2023 will be seeing more floral than in the last few years. Greenery will still have its place and won’t be gone completely, but couples are opting for more extravagance and colour through their floral, and are prioritizing this in their wedding budgets. The popularity of this wedding trend ebbs and flows over the years, but 2023 will be known as the year for more floral and less greenery!
